The biggest festival in Northern Germany's history is held annually on the first weekend in September. About 1,000 citizens in proper style robes revive scenes from Seesens past.
The Sehusa Fest covers a period from the Middle Ages to the Rococo and is thus unique as the largest Historienfestin northern Germany. Because you can see knights, musketeers from the 30-year war, a large market and many historical attractions.
On Saturday are the open-air performance of the legend of the silver hollow Sehusa front of the castle and the subsequent Middle Ages concert with "Cultus Ferox" and the formation "Pestilenzia" in the center. Sundays thrilled the historical parade and the subsequent demonstrations and before the hunting lodge of thousands of visitors.
